Teddy Makadi, born Teddy Maliza in Blantyre, Malawi, is a rising R&B and Afro-soul artist known for his soulful vocals, emotional lyrics, and fusion of modern and traditional Malawian sounds. He began his musical journey at age six, inspired by gospel legend George Mkandawire, and officially entered the music scene in 2010 with the gospel rap group BBM Clique.
